Magnificent Self

I am a human being. I seek more. More happiness. More love. More peace. And end up getting more stressed. Then I start looking at life differently. Was what I was seeking all wrong? What was I supposed to do then as a human? In this world of duality, of good and bad, right and wrong, more and less, of beautiful and ugly, I chose what I was told was the right choice. I didn't realise I could choose to be whatever I wanted to be in a given moment, in a given situation. Because I was told that getting approval from others for who you are is just as important. Today I know that I am all the qualities that exist- good and bad, cool and uncool and when I need, I can call forth what I need- aggression, dominance, loud, soft, strong, fearful etc... That I am a magnificent human being like all other human beings and have the potential to express that in my own unique way in this world. I know it, but I'm a long way from being able to 'be it'. Stop yourself from Stopping Yourself

I find myself doing this...start exercise and then stop, start healthy eating habits , then stop. Start doing things at work that improve my situation and then stop. Could a fear of success be one of the reasons for this. Could the fear of getting all that I want be the cause? Could the fear of the downside of success stop me from getting all that I want? Loving yourself means accepting yourself just the way you are. Taking care of yourself, nurturing yourself and supporting yourself in the best way you can... Take a minute to think about the ways you can love yourself today... I love myself, therefore, ________________ (some ideas to get you started: I love myself therefore, I go for a relaxing walk.  I love myself therefore, I cook myself some hot and healthy soup. I love myself therefore, I listen to my body's messages. and so on. You can do whatever feels like loving yourself. ) The more you love yourself, the more you are able to give and share.
