Celebration and Gratitude
Celebrated the successful completion of my workshop "Be the Change" on 3-4 dec. Celebrated it with Hari,Chitra and Anjali, the three people who made it possible for me to go and be at the workshop without any worries about Anjali or the home front! Thank you !
There are many more people I would like to thank who have been supporting me in my growth.. today I know that every person i relate to for a short while or for a long time, supports me directly or indirectly through the lessons that I learn from them. Because my life is a reflection of who I am , everybody is always helping me grow by holding the mirror to me... I see the reflection and I am happy when I like what I see and learn more about myself when I don't like what I see.. So that's an ongoing process and I am grateful to all my teachers...
Here I want to thank all my associates and teachers who have actually helped me by being there for me and supporting me when I was not ready to go solo and take responsibility for my creative expressions, skills and talents. Its taken me a long time to come to this stage in this field and the people who I learnt from and who supported me since I started are -
Sailaja, who introduced me to Louise Hay's work through her workshops and study groups and who was always available to hand hold me through the initial years of 'changing' my life and still is if I need her. Also working with her gave me a lot of happiness and I enjoyed learning and helping everyone. It was here that I learnt about Radical Forgiveness, of which I am a certified Coach today.
I'd like to thank Omana for being a part of my journey by making all the workshops happen at Kaleidoscope and for introducing me to NLP K and its various workshops. Thank you Krish for the workshops. Enjoyed the Healing Correction apprenticeship program with you and Don as well.
I'd like to thank Sheila for pushing me into doing the 'Its my life' teen program which we co-designed and co-facilitated( We aren't co-sisters for nothing!) which propelled me into some action other than the Coaching I was doing. One thing led to another and we designed "Be the Change" and started doing this workshop. And then she got busy with something else and I decided to go ahead and do them by myself... I guess finally I am ready to take full ownership. She has also been a great support whenever I've needed her.
I would not have been able to do it without their help. Also last but not the least, my friend Monica, with whom I spent hours reading and discussing a lot of books and trying to figure out what was happening in our lives and the bigger picture...She is still a great support.. she has always encouraged me and now given me space for "Be the Change" at her office.
There are many friends who have encouraged me by appreciating my work and giving me confidence to go on - Sarita, Shanti , Reena, Rohina, Amar, Ranjani, Mamta, Audrey,Nirupama, Sravanthi and all the others I cannot remember now(getting old..!)
Rama Aunty for teaching me Yoga, Anuradha Ramesh for 'transgenerational healing', Malathi Rao for breathwork, Monisha Wasu for reflexology/accupressure.
I will be eternally grateful to Colin Tipping for giving me Radical Forgiveness which came with 'freedom' as a by-product.
I would like to thank Hari for his workshop "the champions mindset" which helped discover the writer in me.I am also grateful to Anita,Urvashi,Suhita, Gauri and Hari who have always encouraged me and had no doubt that I could do it. And they supported me patiently till I was ready.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. If I have missed anybody, I didn't mean to. Because there are so many who have helped me. I will take more time and list all those in the next blog.

Thanks Shobhs and I can see that this workshop and all tat you aspire to do will reach out and empower many more in the fture. You do that job well, with love and courage, so continue on the path without any doubts. There will be some who protest, even resent sometimes, but it is only a matter of their readiness, to accept that it is 'we' who has the power (or in other words, who has the responsibility, or in other words, who is responsible for what is happening). Responsibility is the final word in my opinion, and once a person takes it, for himself and others, life becomes a friend, an ally.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shobha for sharing your ambivalence about your journey towards the wonderful work you do and giving due credit to others who supported you and continue to see you as capable of much more.
